Both semantics and mapping are rapidly becoming important technologies on the web. This presentation by Jeroen De Dauw focuses on the MediaWiki implementation that uses mapping in a semantic fashion.

The MediaWiki implementations presented in this talk are two mapping extensions; Maps and Semantic Maps. An introduction to the used platforms, MediaWiki and Semantic MediaWiki will be given at the start, followed by a description of what the extensions can do, and how to use them.

When and where

The presentation will take place October 11th, in the afternoon. The presentation will start at 14:00 and last for about an hour. It will be held at a presentation room at Zebrastraat, 9000 Gent, Belgium. The accommodations are provided and paid for by Alain Liedts.
